Year 6 Take Their Final Bow at Reynolds Academy
As the summer term draws to a close, Year 6 pupils at Reynolds Academy have marked the end of their primary school journey with an unforgettable celebration full of drama, pride and joy.
The Year 6 cohort made it clear to their teachers earlier in the year that they didn’t want to attend an awards ceremony where they just sat and listened, they expressed their wish to have one last chance to perform for their parents and teachers.
The talented pupils of Year 6 gave a brilliant production of Macbeth. From witches to warriors, the pupils played their parts brilliantly, showcasing their talents and teamwork in their version of Shakespeare’s classic tragedy.
Following their performance, the pupils were honoured at a special awards ceremony, where achievements big and small were celebrated. From academic excellence and sporting success to exemplary behaviour and maximum effort, the event was filled with proud moments.
Principal Rebecca Scott noted: “It has been another successful year for our Year 6 students and this year we have seen our best ever results and are incredibly proud of them all.
In over 20 years of teaching, I have come across many children who have had to cope with the demands that life throws at them, some at a very early age. However, the children sitting before me now have shown us all that with hard work, determination and belief, absolutely anything is possible.”
