Reynolds Academy celebrates International Women’s Day with inspiring visitors
Reynolds Academy proudly marked International Women’s Day by welcoming a range of inspirational visitors to the school, giving pupils a unique opportunity to learn about leadership, resilience, and ambition.

Pupils had the opportunity to meet and learn from an incredible line-up of guests, including Poppy Bulmer, Captain Sheridan Lucas, local police and fire officers, and professional footballers Milly and Tilly from Grimsby Town F.C..
Throughout the day, pupils took part in engaging discussions and Q&A sessions, hearing first-hand about the visitors’ career journeys, challenges, and achievements. The event highlighted the importance of resilience, ambition, and self-belief, particularly in fields where women have historically been underrepresented.
This event also marked the launch of ‘Reynolds Road to… Inspire’ — a curated series of talks, workshops, visits and showcases across the academic year that inspire students to aspire. The programme is designed to broaden horizons, build confidence and make academic, vocational, technical and creative pathways feel concrete and achievable for all pupils.
Rebecca Scott, Principal of Reynolds Academy, said: “International Women’s Day is an important opportunity for our pupils to see first-hand the diverse and exciting opportunities available to them. We are incredibly grateful to our visitors for sharing their experiences and inspiring our young people to believe in themselves and their futures.”
The school would like to extend its sincere thanks to all visitors for their time and for making the day such a memorable and impactful experience.
